Revision Space says
We are excited to collaborate with artist/educator Maritza Mosquera, in discussion with Caldwell Linker, for the current solo exhibition "winterlong".

We are also providing you with lovely libations from our neighborhood friends at 52nd Street Market!! Gallery Manager Karen Lue is hosting the occasion, and as always, this event is free and open to the public.

About the moderator:

Maritza Mosquera has been an artist all her life and an educator for over thirty years; teaching in prison, community organizations, universities and museums. She has developed, organized and presented new practices in education and community collaborations with several organizations, including The Andy Warhol Museum and Artists Image Resource in Pittsburgh, the Chicago Public Schools and the Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE), The Fabric Workshop and ICA in Philadelphia and through the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Artist in Education program through out the state. Mosquera's most recent work is with the American Jewish Museum, The Hill House, Finding the Rivers Project, Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Center and the Latino Health Advocacy Leadership Team in Pittsburgh on artists-led community development and artistic projects.

About the artist:

Caldwell Linker has worked in photography for nearly 20 years and has pioneered the representation of the queer community and a broad spectrum of events in Pittsburgh. The artist was featured in a solo exhibition, All Through The Night, at The Andy Warhol Museum in 2013, and has since continued to expand the realm of photography. The new work by Caldwell Linker at Revision Space reveals a new dimension to an already impressive portfolio, displaying meticulous beadwork portraiture alongside compelling photography. The images are both quietly contemplative and visually powerful.

About the gallery:

Founded by art historian and curator Cindy Lisica, Revision Space maintains a diverse roster of emerging and established artists with the goal of connecting them to collectors in Pittsburgh. The storefront gallery opened its doors in February 2014 and has since presented 8 exhibitions and 5 catalog publications. Situated in Lawrenceville, Revision Space exhibits local, national and international artists through curated exhibitions, inventory and events. Find out more at
