Union Project invites you to join us for a free bowl-decorating party to support Just Harvest and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank’s 22th Annual Empty Bowls Dinner 2017. Empty Bowls Glaze for Good is a hands-on, open community event that will be held in our ceramics studio at 801 N. Negley Avenue.

On Sunday, March 5, there will be 2 sessions for you to choose from:
Morning session: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Afternoon session: 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Reserve your spot for the session you want to attend. You will be glazing and decorating bowls that were made and fired by local potters. Our Artist in Residence Margaret Haden will also be here to demonstration how she made her ceramic artwork!

Community members of all skill and experience levels are welcome to help decorate a bowl for a great cause. We’ll have all the materials you need and some of our ceramics cooperative members to help out. All the bowls created will be fired and donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank and Just Harvest for their Empty Bowls fundraiser on March 19, 2017.

Empty Bowls is a national grassroots effort to fight hunger. At an Empty Bowls fundraiser, guests receive a handcrafted bowl and a simple meal of soup and bread. Guests keep their bowl as a reminder of those struggling to feed their families. Union Project is proud to support the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank and Just Harvest by creating and donating ceramic bowls with you!
