Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council says
Femme Fatales: grant writing for women artists

Christiane Leach and Anne Mulgrave combine their superpowers to reveal (a few of) the secrets of the grant writing universe. Combining humor, humility and a big red marker we will explore the good, the bad and the ugly of artist statements, project narratives and work samples tailored specifically for grant applications.

THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE WORKSHOP - we are looking for a few brave souls to share their artist statements and project narratives for live workshopping done with humor and affection.

We will discuss:

* your audience - program officers, panelists and grantmakers
* what they want to know about your work - and more importantly what they DO NOT want to know;
* and last but not least authentic story telling to make it rain.

The Kaufmann Center is the Arts and Cultural arm of the Hill House Association, and is a non-profit, professional arts space whose mission is to support the best of Pittsburgh's art talent, and to propel Pittsburgh into the heart of the national art community by providing exhibition opportunities to emerging and mid-career artists. Parking Info:

After 4:00PM on weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday, parking is available in our 50 car lot located behind the Kaufmann Building. Coming from downtown, make a left on Heldman street, and then a right at the top of the hill into the lot. There is also plenty of street parking available.
