Hakim Rasheed has emerged as a truly great young R&B singing talent. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Hakim began singing at an early age and has gained respect and admiration as a performer in and outside of Pittsburgh. Some of his accomplishments include an appearance on WPXI TV's "Gimme the Mike," Where he was chosen among some 1000 auditioners to become one of just thirty contestants chosen to sing in the popular reality show. He also performed at the prestigious MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas for the USA World Showcase. He made his national debut with the single "Decision Time" (www.myspace.com/hakimrasheed) released on Koch Records in 2008 (now E1 Music), which is the biggest independent record label in America. Hakim is the two-time Best Male singer in The Pittsburgh Hip Hop Awards, and the winner of more than a dozen talent competitions, including Pittsburgh's Got Talent, and Claddagh's Got Talent, where he won the 2000.00 dollar prize. He has shared the stage with such greats as Raheem DeVaughn, Elliot Yamin of American Idol, and Ryan Tedder, and most recently headlined the Legendary "Hard Rock Live" for the release of his incredible new album, "Soular Eclipse," which he self released, and which includes contributions from Formula 412' s Akil Esoon, Manny DeAnda, formerly of the platinum selling group Pretty Ricky and Pittsburgh legends Crave, and produced by hitmaker Van Taylor, from Michael Jackson's hometown of Gary Indiana.

Hakim is thankful to God, family and friends, and to the great city of Pittsburgh for their support.
