TechShop Pittsburgh presents Industry Artist Lecture Series 2016 featuring a robust lineup of fourteen local national and internationally exhibiting Pittsburgh artists.

Presenting Artists for August 2016:

Claire Hentschker

Claire Hentschker (b. 1993) is a Pittsburgh based artistworking with Augmented and Virtual Reality platforms. Her work has been shows at venues including the Carnegie Museum of Art, as part of #NOWSEETHIS, The Drift’s H30//002 event and the Glasgow School of Art’s Creativity and Cognition Conference. She recieved a BFA in Fine art and Media Design at Carnegie Mellon University

Nico Zevallos

Nico Zevallos is an artist and roboticist living and working in Pittsburgh. His work uses languages of suffering in Catholic iconography and film to discuss the state of contemporary robotics.
These artists will share a range motives and processes from digital media, installation art, painting, robotics and performance. This is an opportunity open to the public to discover parallels and expansions of concepts within the arts and making.

Lectures run 6:30-8:30pm on the 3rd Sunday of every month, starting June-December 2016.

Free and Open to the Public
Suggested donation, $5, at the door.\
