Pallade Musica: A Mio Modo Tanya LaPerrière - baroque violon Elinor Frey - baroque cello Esteban La Rotta - theorbo Mylène Bélanger - harpsichord In A Mio Modo, Pallade Musica celebrates the individual creative spirits and fantastical conceptions of the “modern” seventeenth-century composer. They trace the emergence of the Stile Moderno with sonatas by Castello and Mealli, to the pinnacle of the Stylus Phantasticus in Buxtehude’s spectacular trios and Biber’s dramatic “Mystery” sonatas. There will be a pre-concert performance by The Pittsburgh Brass Trio - Erin Yanacek, trumpet; Jason Allison, horn; and Adam Janssen, trombone. The performance will begine at 7:30pm.
