Calling all Pittsburgh filmmakers ...or anyone with a camera! Row House Cinema is hosting Pittsburgh's first Sweded Short Film Competition on Friday March 17th. Also, we will be screening Michel Gondry's, Be Kind Rewind after!

______ What Is a Sweded Film? ______
Sweded Films are amateur recreations of famous films using limited resources and technology inspired by Michel Gondry's 2008 comedy "Be Kind Rewind." Row House has made several as previews, which you can see here: http://bit.ly/swedeExamples

______ Enter Your Film! ______
Enter your short sweded film and win some of the $250 prize pool ($150 grand prize!). The contest is open to the first 20 people who register. Registering secures your film's spot in the compeition. All the films will be shown March 17th. The audience will vote on the winners!

The DEADLINE to register is March 6th by 5pm EST. Only the first 20 people to register are in. Films must be submitted no later than March 9th to Row House Cinema. Details/requirements are below. The entry include one ticket to the showcase as well as one ticket to Be Kind Rewind just after!

Everyone is welcome to attend the screening of all the short films! A Sweded Short Film Festival if you will. The winners will be chosen by the audience.

______ Film Guidelines & Requirements ______
- length must be 3-5 minutes
- keep it PG-13
- must be a swede of a known movie. Remember, the more popular the film, the more your swede will be loved (*hint hint The Audience Choice Award)
- its a swede... so keep it fast, cheap, and out of control, but make it awesome!
- flat format - 1998 x 1080 (note... not 1920 x 1080)
- frame rate - 24 fps or 30 fps (note... not 23.98 fps)
- audio can be up to 5.1 surround
- acceptable formats include mp4, mov, m4v only
- Row House has the right to reject any movie for content or technical failure.
