Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your ongoing support of Leading Education & Advocacy for Families, Inc.
I wanted to follow up with the financial aspects of last year’s event so that you know with the bar set this low, we can only go up. The profit was $983.19 and we would have potentially lost $7 had we not received a $1500 last minute donation. I have done better in the past and I would love your help and/or support to make this year’s event even better.
I would like to start by inviting everyone into a Dropbox file that allows us the ability to access all the documents associated with the event. This is useful in case you need a w-9 for a sponsor or access to what the advertising space on the poster looks like.
I would also like to have a get together/meeting on February 22nd at 6:00 at the Carlton – typically the venue for our event. LEAF will provide appetizers for this evening but there will be a cash bar. Please attend and consider bringing anyone you feel would be helpful with ideas or committee work. RSVP by February 18th. I have attached a preliminary agenda that may or may not encompass all that we need or want to do. I will keep a copy in the Dropbox folder that can be constantly edited to reflect what has been done, what we like to do and who has moved on what. Please keep in mind, I am not attached to the timeline or order of needs, so I will take direction in how you all believe this should be accomplished. I know that some of you are more interested in doing some tasks more than others and I am fine with that, please jump in when your interest is met. If you edit the Agenda & Project Management document in Dropbox, please start the edit with your first and last initial and end with an asterisk. If you are unable to attend but are interested in helping in any capacity, please let me know what you would like to do and I will hook you up with the person in charge of that. Once again, feel free to bring anyone who would like to help!
Before I start a group email, I want to make sure you are all comfortable with sharing your information with our group. Please take a moment to reply with spelling and best contact information, especially the email address that you would like to use to access the Dropbox folder. Also, if there are other individuals whom you feel would be an asset to our committee and show a great desire to help, please feel free to send an introduction email and I will catch them up to speed. If you do not want to participate at this level or at all, please let me know and I will remove your name from the group communications.
