The second annual Pot O Gold alley cat! Have you been waiting for the frigid temps to break to dust the cobwebs off your bike? Been wanting to do an alley cat, but nervous about finishing DFL? Are you a riddle-solving master? Maybe you're just totally psyched on spring and want to ride your bike around our beautiful city? Or you're just dead broke and want a chance at wining some ca$hmoney? This Alley Cat is for you!! Scavenger-hunt style! Racers will get a list of riddles - solve them to find the secret race stops. Make sure you snap a pic of your bike and/or yourself hanging out enjoying the lamb half of March! Riders who have found the most stops win. Can be raced solo or in teams. Prizes are a % of the entry fees, so bring your friends! The more people that race, the better the prizes! Winners will also receive an OTB gift certificate and potentially extra swag. There will also be a 50/50 raffle after the race $10 to race - first 20 riders to register will get a race T-shirt Meet at OTB Bicycle Cafe (opens at 12pm), manifests will be handed out at 1pm. Riders can come pick up a manifest at any time, but must be back at OTB by 4pm to be eligible for prizes. Remember to bring a phone or camera to snap pics! Changes from last year! - There will be a smaller list of riddles to solve … and the font will be more legible! (just for you King Ted) - Racers can text me pics of their riddle solutions to get verification on-the-go GIVE YOURSELF A LEG UP: If you want to try your hand at the creation of a clever couplet-riddle for a secret checkpoint, message it to me! Think of a place in Pittsburgh that is somewhat identifiable and rhyme it up. Send me your couplet and if it is chosen, you'll have the advantage of knowing a clue ahead of time ;) Example riddle from last year: I don't know much about this pub but I swear, It's got the biggest shamrock in Regent Square.
