Time Out says

Saturday, March 7, 2015 you have the opportunity to swap your seeds at Schwartz Living Market! Contact me about vending spaces and volunteer opportunities for this date. :) That's right, come join the fun in the Southside of Pittsburgh, with the Schwartz Living Market community and talk about planning and planting at Gaia Alignment's Second Annual Seed Swap! Gaia Alignment is a network of artists who care deeply about community, holistic health, and welfare for the next seven generations. Together we are creating a sustainable community, in order to provide a safe, healthy space for those generations to thrive. Ashley (Paradox) Shearer, mother of 2, has always been inspired by nature, and its affects, on people and the Earth. She has been gardening for 15 years with her dad, in their backyard. Always using organic elements, this year her family wants to work towards creating a Permaculture sanctuary, and urge you to do similarly wherever you can! This is why we bring you, in collaboration with Schwartz Living Market in the Southside of Pittsburgh, the 2nd Annual Seed Swap and Vegan Potluck hosted by Ashley Shearer :) We will begin meeting at 11 AM, and have some time to prepare our seeds, to swap; This is when we can have a discussion on topics like Permaculture and other related topics. 12 PM is when we will start trading, and 1 is when we will dig in to our lovely potluck(or whenever, if we're hungry enough) :) We want to limit our waste, and this is a Vegan potluck! Please respect the space. <3 You can come get the seeds that you need for your garden, in a fun way that enables you to meet and converse with other gardeners in Pittsburgh! What a great way to spend your Saturday afternoon! How this seed swap works is as follows: Organic seeds will be swapped for Organic seeds, and likewise for conventional seeds. If you do not bring seeds, you will not be able to participate! If you leave seeds, and want them back, please retrieve them before the times posted, or Contact Ashley at aparadox33@gmail.com for questions, or about lost items. We will be collecting cash donations to benefit Schwartz Living Market, $10-20 is encouraged, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Schwartz Living Market has a variety of small business owners working together to provide a safe space for Pittsburghers to express themselves! Don't just buy food; GROW IT! To bring: -A meal to share for the Vegan Potluck -Blissware! -Organic, Non- GMO and Heirloom Seeds to share, or trade of any variety :) -Friendly conversation, and a smile :D Ill provide small plastic baggies to keep seeds in, however, they may run out fast, so it would be helpful to bring your own as well. :)
