Third Thursday: Celebrate says
***Third Thursdays are 18+ events***

Say hello to warm nights and celebrate the season of outdoor goodness with a concert in the museum courtyard. Performers Mars Jackson and Meeting of Important People will jam out all evening long. Plus! Welcome the Alison Knowles exhibition to the Forum gallery and bring a red object to contribute to the artist's collaborative performance score "Celebration Red" in the Hall of Sculpture.

Summer starts now. Take that June 21st.

Morgan Erina
Morgan is a singer-songwriter with a finger picking, indie folk storyteller's soul and a haunting voice. A New York City native, Morgan has lived in Pittsburgh for the past six years. In 2009, she released her debut albums “Skeleton Butterflies” and “Whatever." From 2011 to 2014 she was one-half of the band Broken Fences, releasing the album "Broken Fences" as well as their single "Wait" which had been featured on various tv shows such as Flashpoint and The Young and The Restless. She is a regular performer in both Pittsburgh and New York, playing at venues including the Three Rivers Festival, Club Cafe, Rockwood Music Hall, and The Pittsburgh Winery. She has toured the continental U.S., London, Denmark, and Germany. In October 2014, she released her solo single “October." She is now self releasing her album “Lady” and looking forward to future tours.

Mars Jackson
Thanks to a nudge and a wink in his cadence, there's no attempt to follow trends (its rap for rap's sake; passionate but fun), Mars Jackson has delivered that sauce for the Pittsburgh’s music/hip hop community for quite some time. With notices from Mass Appeal, Pigeon and Planes, Noisey, and various Pittsburgh publications including the City Paper, and with his first official album "Unemployed Faith" dropping in the fall, Mars is set to embark on the next journey in his music career while keeping Pittsburgh dope and near to his heart.

Meeting of Important People
Meeting of Important People is a three-piece rock-and-roll band from Pittsburgh, PA. The band is ecstatic to return to CMOA in support of its new album "Troika", an eclectic mix of garage-pop songs full of twists and turns. MOIP promises to keep the loud parts loud, the pretty parts pretty, and the people happy.

On the third Thursday of every month, we're keeping the art galleries open late, getting a little loud, and welcoming partners throughout the city to create exciting one-of-a-kind programs. Explore our exhibitions, enjoy music, indulge in a late-night cafe menu, and more. Curate your own experience!

Third Thursday is sponsored by Citizens Bank, Great Lakes Brewing Company, Green Mountain Energy Company, and Walnut Capital. Media support by Pittsburgh City Paper and NEXTpittsburgh.
