Facilitator: Martha D'Abruzzo, Licensed Clinical Social Worker & 200hr Yoga Instructor; Level 1 irest Yoga Nidra Facilitator
A few other instructors (tba) from the studio will be assisting and participating in various roles.

This workshop was created in response to feedback from many people who are looking to start a practice of Yoga, Mindfulness work, and/or Meditation but aren't sure where to begin.

The workshop structure will move back and forth between yoga practice, presentation of information, and discussion and dialogue, covering topics of yoga, anxiety, depression, stigma related to mental health, what neuroscience is up to these days and the development of a regular practice of yoga and meditation.

In terms of yoga exercises, the workshop will include yoga breath work, yoga nidra meditation (which is a guided meditation) and slow gentle movement which can be adapted to various physical needs in a way where all can fully participate.
