Four street food pub residencies happening in London this April

The new trend of pubs letting street food traders take over their kitchens for months at a time means that it’s easier to experience the best of the temporary dining experiences without having to book. Dan Calladine from Londonpopups.com recommends four new ones to try in April. Oh My Dog! at The Horatia, Islington Oh My Dog! serve up imported German frankfurters, with a selection of hot dogs, or their ‘pups’ – mini versions – to choose from. They even do a burger, inevitably called ‘Oh My Cow’. OMD have been around for a couple of years and have made lots of friends on the street food markets, so are serving a dessert from their friends SE Cakery – a great big slab of chocolate brownie with ice cream. Serving daily at The Horatia, 98-100 Holloway Road, N7 8JE. Yolk London at The Duke of Wellington, Dalston No prizes for guessing that Yolk started off with a very egg-centric menu. Since then, they've got lots of praise for brunch residencies at The Proud Archivist in Hackney, and their poached egg pots from a stall in Old Street. They’ve now got a broader menu which you can try at their new residency at The Duke of Wellington on Balls Pond Road. It includes ox cheek ragu, butternut and mascapone gnocchi, and a duck confit bun. They're also serving their famous brunches at the weekend, plus roasts on Sunday. Serving daily at The Duke of Wellington, 119 Ball's Pond Rd, N1 4BL.  Tem Ban Thai at The Waverley Arms, Nunhead Craig Broadhurst, a very talented chef who used to be at

Four street food pub residencies happening in London this March

One of the biggest food trends in London over the past couple of years has been the rise of pub residencies by street food traders. As these residences move pretty fast, Dan Calladine from Londonpopups.com will be keeping track of the ones to check out each month, starting with March:   Fowl Mouths at King & Co, Clapham Fowl Mouths – who aren’t at all sweary – serve up their own take on Japanese comfort food all around their capital and launched their first major residency last month. There's only a few weeks left to try dishes such as kara-age, belly pork, korroke Scotch eggs, and much more – so go along and catch a rising star. Serving daily until March 13, weekdays from 5pm, weekends from noon. The King & Co, 100 Clapham Park Rd, SW4 7BZ. Tiberi at The Duke’s Head, Highgate Tiberi dish up the finest Barcelona munchies 'with a vanguard twist' and have previously set up shop at Fenchurch Street market, Beavertown Brewery tap room, Brick Lane Market and Dalston Eastern Curve Garden. They'll be making a return trip to the Duke’s Head where you can expect a mix of small sweet and savoury plates and larger ‘knife and fork’ dishes. Serving daily in March, noon–10pm. The Duke’s Head, 16 Highgate High St, N6 5JG. Italian Jack at Rosemary Branch Theatre, Hoxton Italian Jack is a collaboration between former street foodie The Bell & Brisket and Italian chef Davide Grigolato, serving up British classics with Italian flair. They're taking over the kitchen at Rosemary Branch Theatre in
