Henrik Ekblom Ystén is a roaming reporter and author who spent several years living in Sweden’s two largest cities, Stockholm and Gothenburg, before finally landing near number three on the list, Malmö, because he believes Sweden tends to get more beautiful the further south you go.
Based in Österlen in Skåne, he often writes about food, literature and culture, as well as football. He has written books about both the world’s biggest youth football tournament, the Gothia Cup, and the man behind one of the most iconic cameras in photography, Victor Hasselblad.
As a naturalised Skåne citizen, and it takes a few generations to become a fully fledged one, he brings insider tips with a certain outsider’s perspective, fascinated by how Sweden’s southernmost reaches always seem to find ways to surprise.
