Auditions Steel Magnolias

TAAC was overwhelmed by the success of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. It exceeded our expectations and we are so incredibly grateful to our community and our audiences. During our run, we announced our next 3-Night Only production, Clue, based on the successful cult classic movie. This was to be our second non-traditional production and fundraiser leading up to our full blown season. Since our announcement, TAAC received the sad news that the one and only Hazel Stream, our theatre goddess and mother hen, is moving out of California. She is venturing into a new chapter of her life and we are very happy for her. After some discussion, we decided that we would rather say our goodbyes by producing a play that Hazel loves. So we are switching gears. Instead of doing Clue, we will be producing Steel Magnolias! Before the fire, we were planning to produce this show in part because it's one of Hazel's favorites. Now we'll be doing it in her honor. We still plan to produce Clue (we're as excited about that as the rest of you!), but at a later date. We may even wait until we have our permanent home, so we can increase the scope of the production and really do this cult-classic justice.
