Delta Workshop says
Kate Farrall Art creates bioluminescent photographs that investigate memories, mistakes, inheritance and the decline of analog photography. As she hacks into the personal narratives of strangers, she re-casts their memories to consider their how their existence still has an impact even though they are long gone. By cultivating a bioluminescent fungus called Fox Fire, she harnesses its communicative properties as a metaphor for the ever-changing state in which we hold memories, and references the way genes mutate and photographs decay.

Kate Farrall is a fine artist living and working in Sacramento, CA with an obsession for finding new ways to create photographic images. Kate holds a BA in Art History and a BA in Photography from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and a MFA in Photography from the California College of the Arts.
