Revisiting Home:
portraits of (Be)Longing and Identity

Artwork by Nancy Ledesma

"The works in this exhibition explore the internal desire for home within the context of diaspora and migration-making home, leaving home, returning, seeking, longing for, fighting, losing & remembering. I’m particularly interested in the ways in which we express home and remember home through our bodies, objects and possessions.
The people in these portraits represent this idea and this process. My intention is to honor that search and to find mine if I sit long enough with their stories, a paper and pencil on hand." Nancy L
