Wake up to the Challenge!
On Octorber, 1st 2016 the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego will host the 15th BootCamp Challenge, a 3-mile obstacle run. This unique race features obstacles used only by Marine Recruits, plus over 60 USMC Drill Instructors "staff" the course providing direction and encouragement for participants. A very memorable day for all!

The Course:
3-mile obstacle course on paved roads and hard-packed dirt - flat and fast. Over 50 obstacles to complete, including hay jumps, tunnel crawls, trenches, cargo netting and push-up stations. Drill Instructors at each station to make sure you complete your obstacles!

The race will begin at 0900 in 5-minute waves, starting with the elite division, then individual men, individual women, 3-person teams, then 5-person teams. Day of race registration and t-shirt pick-up opens at 0630. Great post-race party with plenty of music, food, fun and beer! Official race t-shirts to all entrants.

Award Categories:
-Top three finishers in Elite division
-Top three finishers in each of the 15 age group categories
-Top three finishers in each of the 7 three-person team categories
-Top three finishers in each of the 7 five-person team categories

Online Registration closes at 11:55 PM PST on Wednesday, 28 September 2016. Day-of Registration will be available starting at 0630 at race venue. Prices will increase to $45/Individual; $135/3-person team; $225/5-person team.
In order to receive your packets in the mail, you or your team must register by Monday, 5 September 2016. The packet includes your race numbers and course information. Note: Team captains will be mailed all bibs and information for the entire team if all members sign the waivers by 5 September. Otherwise, a waiver will be sent to the captain for all members to sign.
Team captains are responsible for: making sure all team members sign a waiver, handing out the race numbers for your team, finding your team members on race morning and making any substitutions necessary for the team. Please make sure you want to be a team captain before you register!
Please note: Although we love them, pets will not be allowed at the race venue on this military installation. We appreciate your support!
