Alc Team Sd: The Pie Ride! says
Who wants pie?!

Okay, now that I have your attention, here are the details... This is a rather challenging 66 mile ride with a 15 optional add-on for a total of 81 miles. This ride begins with the Purple Monster climb out of Poway and then left on CA-67 out to Ramona. From there, it's a steady climb along the rolling hills of Old Julian Highway all the way out to Santa Ysabel. There is significant elevation gain, but it is spread out over the entire route to Santa Ysabel where we'll stop at the Julian Pie Company for, you guessed it, PIE!

This is the turn-around point for the shorter 66 mile route. If you would like the extra miles and climbing you can continue with the OPTIONAL EXTENSION … This extension continues up the hill to Julian and back. It adds about 15 miles and an additional 1,300 feet of climbing, which is almost precisely equivalent in distance and climbing to two times up Soledad Mountain Road from Rose Creek (which is 3.5 miles and 750 feet of climbing). Are you up for the challenge?!

Everyone turns around from either Santa Ysabel or Julian and heads back the way we came.
