Alc Team Sd: The Purple Monster says
It's time to climb the purple monster! You've heard the stories, now face your fears! You ARE ready to conquer it. Having just completed the triple threat the day before, come join Team San Diego for a back-to-back weekend of riding, in preparation for what it's like to get up the next day on the event and keep riding.

From Mission Bay, we head across the valley to start climbing up Murphy Canyon. Then we head up Pomerado road into Poway, where we meet Scripps Poway Parkway (aka the Purple Monster). At the top, we're at around 1800 feet of elevation! From there, we head down the 67 into Santee for lunch, then back across Mission Gorge and Mission Valley to finish.
