The Lion's Share says
The Lion’s Share presents a competition of drastically unhealthy competitive nature: BEST OF THE BEST

10 of San Diego’s best cocktail bars presenting their best cocktail. Period. No requirements. No minimum pour. No sponsors. No theme. Cocktails can be on the menu, off the menu, or entirely new creation. The best in the city making the best they have to offer.

6 industry professionals will determine a grand champion on a 95-point scoring system across 9 categories in fully blind tasting with the United States Bartending Guild of San Diego acting as a neutral refereeing party.

Each bar competing will have a representative present to also vote upon a “Bartenders Choice” winner.

Bars competing:
Banker’s Hill Bar and Restaurant
Fairweather
Kettner Exchange
The Lion’s Share
Noble Experiment
Polite Provisions
Prep Kitchen
Prohibition
Seven Grand
Sycamore Den

Levi Walker, Campari San Diego
Nate Howell, Crafts Spirit Specialist Young’s Market
Candice Woo, Editor at Eater.com San Diego
Matt Rowley, Author of “Moonshine!”

Nate Soroko, San Diego’s local beer expert and personality

USBG San Diego referee's:
Willem Van Luevan - President
Scott Shumate - Treasurer

Doors at 7PM and drink specials all night.

And one last and very important detail: It is common in competitions to place the winners in a “Top 3” format. This is not that competition. All bars will be listed according to scores, from 1st to 10th place, and announced in a “ping-pong” style format as follows: 6th place will be announced first, followed by 5th, 7th, 4th, 8th, 3rd, 9th, 2nd, and 10th and 1st place announced last. To the winner the spoils, to the last place bar, all the tears.
