Celebrate Erica's Birthday With The World According To . . . Erica Clermont! says
The World According to... Every week, we invite a San Diego notable personality, business owner or someone that just makes us laugh to tell their stories. Instead of just acting out what is heard, this FCI house team uses these stories as inspiration to go crazy hilarious places. It's getting to know you, mixed with "I never should have asked!"

This week...

Erica Clermont is an San Diego-based improv performer, teacher, and coach. In addition to being a member of several house teams, she has also performed in plays at FCI. Currently, she teaches FCI's level 1 class on Sundays and coaches Killer Giraffe and We's the Same.

Erica was born in Canada and took up acting at a young age, eventually receiving a BA in Theatre from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. She has been doing improv since 2012. "Although I have a good job, it is not my passion." Recently, she has been making steps towards making improv her career and even more of a focus in her life. "Acting and theater is my happy place, and I am on a mission to make my life full with all the things I love to do. I love improv and all things connected to it."

When she isn't involved in improv, Erica enjoys spending time outside with her pup Penny, reading, writing, meditating, going to see live music, knitting, colouring, drinking coffee in the sunshine and playing with her succulents. She is a firm believer in the mantra live life to the fullest. "I am making steps each day to have a joyful happy life. I try to remember who I was at 6 years old and look at life through those same eyes. Life always has possibilities and I hope that I can surprise myself this year and be really brave and make bigger moves towards bigger and brighter things!"

In addition to being our guest on World According to, Erica is celebrating her birthday. Come out and help make it a fun time for all!

Tonight’s shows are free! Tickets are normally $10 but we are currently raising money for our annual improv festival. We encourage you to donate to our SDIF hospitality committee to show out of town guests how amazing San Diego is. No donation is too small, but we will only be taking cash/check this evening, so please help us pull out the stops for guests coming from around the world!
