I would like to invite you all to my senior thesis screening!
A double presentation of my short films "El Cricket" and "Yesternow".

These films explore the symbiotic relationship between the United States and Mexico, and how the busiest international border in the world affects the spaces and people around it.

Film Synopses:

*EL CRICKET (Or The Art of Self-destruction)
A man who lives in Tijuana, Mexico has to cross the border every morning to work in the United States in order to support his girlfriend and her disabled brother. All meanwhile maintaining a furious methamphetamine addiction. He will struggle to conceive a clear notion of reality as he copes with his grim situation.

Herbie and Regina are two young Children who are abandoned by their mother under a Freeway overpass in San Diego, CA. As they bear with their own differences, they will learn how to grow together and cope with the seedy underside of Southern California.
