San Diego Food System Alliance, Slow Food Urban San Diego, and International Rescue Committee invite you to Envision Urban Agriculture Fair at SILO in MAKERS QUARTERâ„¢ 753 15th St, San Diego, CA 92101 on Saturday July 30th from 1-4pm. This is a FREE fair for the community.

Envision Urban Agriculture Fair is a family-friendly fair for growers and the San Diego community supportive of growing food in our cities. Urban Agriculture Incentive Zones is a new tool available in the City of San Diego that will allow us to activate vacant spaces for growing food.

Come shop produce from local urban farmers, swap heirloom seeds, eat some good food, listen to live music, drink local kombucha and beer, learn to cook healthy food by demos from San Diego chefs, get crafty with your kids, and learn about bee-keeping, composting, and growing food in urban environments.

Bring your seeds to participate in a seed swap by San Diego Seed Library and San Diego Seed Stewards! A seed swap is a time honored tradition that spans millenia and crosses every border. Even if you don't have seeds to share, stop by and learn about heirloom seeds and participate in the fun.

The Fair will be happening right after the free 2016 Food Forum at City College. Tickets for the Food Forum are available here: http://www.sdfsa.org/2016forum-fair/

Key Note Speaker of Food Forum will be at the Fair at 2:00pm
A.G. Kawamura, former California Secretary of Agriculture - "Envisioning urban agriculture around the world"

No registration is required for the Fair but we would love it if you indicate that you are attending on this FB event. Vendor information will be updated on the website!
