Extant aims to offer the viewer visual manifestations of the ephemeral and intangible nature of the interior life inspired by experiences of the novel and mundane.
Andrew McNamara has a BFA from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. He works in a variety of mediums including ink, pastel, watercolor, and graphite to create paintings and illustrations heavily inspired by elaborate textiles and observations of diverse people and cultures. McNamara is a San Diego based artist currently living and working in Columbus, OH.
Ricardo Ales received his BA from UCSD. Working in graphite, watercolor, and ink, Ales creates surreal environments incorporating pattern work and nature. Ales currently lives and works in San Diego, CA .
