The 8th Annual Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade & Expo presented by Downtown Ace Hardware and Market Street Veterinary Clinic (now VCA Market Street) returns on Sunday, December 13, 2015. All pet owners and their furry, feathered, and scaled companions are invited to don their favorite costumes and put their best paw, wing, and fin forward for this jolly promenade and pet expo, which starts and ends at Hilton Gaslamp Park, adjacent to the MLK Promenade Park (401 K Street, San Diego, CA 92101) at Fourth Avenue and K Street.
Entry to participate in the Pet Parade is just $15 in advance per pet, $20 on the day of the event. Day-of registration and check-in will begin at 12:30pm. Event Highlights
- Festive, family-friendly parade through the Gaslamp Quarter for jolly pets and their two-legged families steps off at 3:00PM
- Free pet expo featuring 25+ pet-related products and services at Hilton Gaslamp Park from 1:00 – 5:00PM
- The first 300 Pet Paraders to register will receive a complimentary goodie bag filled with pet-related product samples, gifts, and special offers from Gaslamp Quarter businesses
- Nine costume categories for you, your pet, and your family to compete in, including the newest category this year, Best Pet Float (decorate a fun, pet-friendly sleigh/wagon for your pet!)
- The winner of Best in Show will be invited to lead the 2016 Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade as Grand Marshal!
- Winners of the costume contest will be announced at 4:00PM at MLK Promenade Park at the Awards Ceremony presented by Doozydog Club and San Diego Humane Society.
