We will travel on lower-traffic roads, and the route will be close to ten miles, including the ride back to the start. Our pace is set by the slowest rider, and if you're not too interested in climbing up hills, the route will be relatively flat. If an incline is more than you or your bike can bear, there will be no shame in walking. We’re happy to wait!

This ride is perfect for less confident riders, riders who are interested in socializing, and/or those who just want to feel better about eating a few extra calories because you earned it! After all, what might be even better than this ride is a place to sit and relax after all that work! Brunch-y goodness will follow. We will eat at the Hob Nob Hill in Banker’s Hill:

If you RSVP yes, it is assumed you want to attend brunch, so if you only want to come along for the ride, please indicate this in a comment or message so the restaurant has the correct number of dining guests.

After brunch, we will ride back to the starting place for those who need to return to cars.

What’s expected of you: Even if you're waayyy out of practice, you should know the general concept of how to ride a bike. Please ride with the group, not ahead. You will not be required to wear a helmet, but the use of a helmet is encouraged.* Don't forget to bring a lock, and make sure your bike is in working order well before the ride, so don't wait until the last minute to dust it off from storage :)

If you plan on driving, make sure to allow time to accommodate for parking. Information about parking can be found here: If you are unsure of where the Bea Evenson Fountain is, here is a map:

* If you or anyone with you are under 18, a helmet is required, as it is a legal requirement in the state of California: Let me know if you need a helmet and I will make sure you have one.

This is a regular monthly ride on the third Sunday of the month, so if you can't come this time and really want to, save the date for December 20th.
