The main aim of this course is to help improve your body movement when dancing Kizomba. The course will begin by discussing the cultural and historic background of the movements behind the dances, ranging from traditional dances to the modern Tarraxinha, and they will be explored per gender. Next up will be learning the specific body isolations, weight transfers, and micro-rhythmic moves of these dances; furthermore, the course will cover adjusting the body to gain more fluidity and smoothness, and maintaining balance… all of which are very important to improving one’s Kizomba! The ultimate goal of this course would be to be able to perform all these movements, while maintaining a close connection with your partner, without sacrificing the precision of your leading/following.
2 weeks course - 6h course of body movement for Kizomba:
2h of body isolations - male and female
4h of Tarraxinha (couples)
week 1
2h of body isolation for ladies (Tuesday)
2h of body isolation for men (Wednesday)
Week 2
2h of joint partnerwork - tarraxinha classes (Tuesday)
2h practice of tarraxinha practice with guidance (Wednesday)

*Max of 20 students allowed - pre sign up for class.
