Nikki Blak is a proud Los Angeles native and lifelong resident and is the author of two volumes of poetry and fiction. She was the only poet whose likeness was depicted in a Michael Massenburg Mural in the heart of Leimert Park, as well a a piece recently commissioned for the Metro Expo in Los Angeles. She has been a member of 3 different southern California poetry slam teams, and has gone on to compete at the annual National Poetry Slam 4 times. She is currently working on publishing her third volume of poetry, essays, and shorts stories, and continuing to conduct writing workshops and perform poetry nationally.
