San Diego IndieFest says
On Saturday, March 28, 2015, San Diego INDIEFEST 9 will rock City Heights, featuring over fifty artists on multiple stages for our most diverse bill yet, and our "Indie-est" beer garden ever, thanks to the sponsorship of the historic Tower Bar. This iconic City Heights landmark has recently been restored and is a nod to the rich history of City Heights - the most culturally diverse neighborhood in the entire nation (San Diego Union Tribune, April 6, 2001).

The night will peak with headlining band, Bear Hands. A four piece electro-indie rock band out of Brooklyn, Bear Hands' sophomore release, Distraction, included the single, Giants, which peaked at #8 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.

Diversity has always been a cornerstone of SAN DIEGO INDIEFEST. But as a way to pay tribute to it's beautiful new home of City Heights, INDIEFEST 9 is even more diverse than ever before - featuring music, art and food created by over 30 of the cultures that make up San Diego's most exciting melting pot.

SAN DIEGO INDIEFEST is dedicated to affirming the power of transformation that comes out of recognizing the independent spirit within us. Whether that manifests in music, film, art, business or community activism, it takes work, risk and dedication. Yet so many of these creatives go un-noticed by the general public. On IndieFest weekend, you can come empty and leave fully charged as you discover one after another of these remarkable artists and change-makers.
