San Diego Premiere Of Award Winning Documentary ‘States Of Grace'

Join filmmakers Helen S. Cohen and Mark Lipman along with Dr. Grace Dammann for the San Diego premiere of the new feature-length documentary States of Grace at the Hillcrest Cinemas on Tuesday, March 10, at 7:30 pm! Dammann’s life was forever changed when a driver crashed head on into her car during a routine commute across the Golden Gate Bridge in 2008. States of Grace follows Dammann as she returns home to Green Gulch Farm Zen Center in Marin, California, after spending more than a year in rehabilitation hospitals. Family dynamics with her partner Nancy “Fu” Schroeder and their teenage daughter Sabrina are turned upside down as each of them must negotiate new roles and responsibilities. Through intimate verité footage and interviews with doctors, family, and friends, the film paints an inspiring portrait of devotion and trust as it delicately documents the pain and power of one woman’s fight to reinvent herself. Honored with audience awards at multiple film festivals, States of Grace has played to sold-out crowds at screenings around the country.
