Come join us for an evening of learning about Lightsaber Combat! 10 Years ago, there was only ONE organization giving classes around this fun new craze, and now there's more than 400 clubs and schools around the world. Come take a class with the man who started it all, and see how this is quickly becoming the new favorite Martial Art interest world-wide!

Since our venue fell through fo Tuesday teh 19th, we will be meeting up before the gigantic Lightsaber Battle happening at the Fountain this night.

So if you want to learn more about our program, Flynn Michael from New York Jedi and presents THE 8 CORE PRINCIPLES of LIGHTSABER COMBAT: Where all forms and styles begin.
* Translating Traditioal Sword Techniques
* Stage Combat and Storytelling
* HEMA-Style level of Sport Dueling Combat & Tournaments
* The Difference between each.

Lightsabers: Please bring a lightsaber to use, specs at bottom
Very few loaner sabers will be available.

Ask him anything, but we'll be going over the solid fundamentals of all expressions of the Lightsaber Arts, whether it be in Stage Combat, Sport Dueling, or Academic study. These are Safety, Awareness, Mechanics, Stances, Strikes, Defense, Range, and Movement. We will also explore various historical sword styles as they are referenced by, and relate to the Lightsaber, such as the Broadsword and Kendo.

While we will be going over the basics and such, this is a must-attend for those looking to pursue Lightsaber Academy's Lightsaber Instructor Certification. We will be exploring all the fundamentalls in this two part session. First, the basics for those of you just learning, then more storytelling and choreograhy. Our Lightsaber Instructor Certification Registration for teachers will be more towards the end of the evening.

Whatever you are comfortable with! You can easily start out with something from Toys R Us. However, if you have the time and money to obtain something better, check out these manufacturers. - Prices $60-$150 - $50+ - to assemlbe your own. $various

... and by all means, if all you can bring is a PVC pipe, or a broom stick, that works fine!
