Join us for a special encore screening of the documentary TYRUS, which just won the Audience Award at the San Diego Asian Film Festival.

Directed by Pamela Tom, TYRUS chronicles the life of artist Tyrus Wong, whose watercolors inspired the look of Disney's Bambi and went on to become an integral part of Warner Brother's pre-production team, working on classics like Rebel Without a Cause and The Wild Bunch. A pioneer, husband, and original, Tyrus discovers in his Chinese American experience the inspiration for some of the most seminal works of American popular culture. (72 min.)
