Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill says
“A Taste of Spain” pairs a special Bluewater Grill seafood restaurant version of Paella, made with an exclusive blend of rice, saffron, seafood and shellfish, with a seafood pas platter and wines from the country’s famous grape-growing regions. One of the most popular monthly tasting events of the year, the Sept. 12 events are expected to sell-out in advance.

Offered on the second Tuesday of every month, Bluewater’s tasting series allows seafood and wine aficionados to marry their two loves in a spirited setting featuring the latest seasonal seafood and shellfish varieties paired with hand-selected wines (or specialty draft beers or cocktails) and roving commentary by each restaurant’s resident seafood experts. As a companion to the events, a special, limited-time menu offering allows customers to sample the tasting event throughout the month. The result has become a popular monthly diversion for Bluewater’s large fan base.

Paella originated in the fields of Valencia in eastern Spain but is now a favorite of every region of the country. While Spanish varieties typically combine saffron with pork, eel, squid, beans, peas, artichokes and peppers, the version served by Bluewater restaurants is made with shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, chicken and Spanish chorizo sausage.
