The Fretboard Summit says
The Fretboard Summit, the Fretboard Journal's annual gathering for guitar and fretted instrument fanatics, returns for year two to a new location, San Diego, Califrornia. From October 14-16, 2016, we'll be converging on the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego.

What is the Fretboard Summit? It's a conference where you can learn from some of the world's greatest guitarmakers, hear some of the most inspiring music being made today and network with fellow guitar fanatics and collectors. The entire weekend has been carefully curated by the staff of the Fretboard Journal and features some of our magazine's favorite subjects and contributors. This is unlike any guitar show (vintage or boutique) that you have ever been to.

Our 2016 lineup continues to expand but so far includes performances from Danny Barnes, Molly Tuttle, Courtney Hartman, Eric Skye, Matt Munisteri, Laurence Juber (Wings), Anthony Wilson, TK Smith, Joe K. Walsh, Grant Gordy, Tony Marcus, Bob Minner, and a special screening of T-Bone Burnett's latest project. During the day, we'll hear talks from Dick Boak (Martin), TJ Thompson, Richard Hoover, Andy Powers (Taylor), Stu Cohen (The Music Emporium), Joe Glaser, Michael Gurian, Mark Stutman (Folkway Music), Gabriel Tenorio, Bryan Galloup and others.

This is a hands-on event for guitar fanatics. Your ticket covers all of the entertainment, lectures, panels and even unlimited weekend-long music instruction from the crew at Peghead Nation. In addition, the Rancho Bernardo grounds will be filled with guitar demonstrations, interview stages, pop-up museums and spaces for jamming. Bring a guitar to play or just to show and tell.

Attendance at this very special event is limited to just a few hundred guitar fanatics. Our goal isn’t to be the biggest guitar festival around but we’d sure like to be the most inspiring and informative.
