Ucsd March Against Trump And Student Debt says
On November 12, the first #MillionStudentMarch took place on 115 campuses across the country. Hundreds of UCSD students participated for one of larger marches in California.

In response to the national call to action as well as highly troubling incidents on our own campus. Nationwide, college campuses have been covered with xenophobic messaging, part of the Trump campaign's endorsement of intimidation and force against its opponents. On 4/13 we march again. Students nationwide will be coming together to challenge the racism of Donald Trump and the corporate establishment.

Large-scale mobilization catalyzes action from authorities, and helps build a long-lasting coalition to ensure demands are eventually met. The UC administraiton is bloated. Faculty are more vulnerable than ever before. The housing crisis is worsening. UCSD has a serious issue of diversity in faculty and the student body, creating an environment prone to racism and privilege. Everything students and workers need that doesn't contribute to the bottom line will be won through stuggle.

In order to win free college and see an end to institutional racism, we need a UNITED mass movement of students, workers, people of color, women, LGBTQi+, and immigrants. We need to unite and say "education is a human right!"

The National Demands Are:

Tuition-Free Public College
Cancellation of ALL Student Debt
A $15 Minimum Wage for ALL Campus Workers
Divestment from Private Prisons by ALL Colleges and Universities

We will be meeting at the silent tree at Noon, Wednesday 4/13!

If you would like to contribute to planning and UCSD specific demands for admin and the regents, please come to Groundwork Books (in the original student center) @ 7 PM on monday, 4/11.
