Workplace bullying is a dangerous “epidemic” and, according to the Washington-based Workplace Bullying Institute, there are a number of ways to prevent it. Former corporate executive (and one-time workplace bully) Andrew Faas spent four years researching and interviewing for The Bully’s Trap. He’ll share his personal story as a former top dog who took advantage of others, to his realization that workplace bullying is a harmful—and preventable—occurrence. He’ll also give tips on how to recognize signs of pattern bullying, how to support coworkers who are being targeted, and small steps that can be taken to prevent it from happening. He’s also got some insight into why the economic environment and our region’s IT-centric culture, make Seattle a prime city for bullying.
