Lazer Kitty (Album Release Party)

We are an experimental-improvisational-space-rock (aka Acid Improg) trio from Seattle. We make soundtracks for the cosmos. www.lazerkitty.com

Lazer Kitty is an instrumental, improvisational space-rock trio from Seattle, WA. Featuring Jason Jordan on bass, Scot Porter (aka Vox Mod) on drums, and Kyle Porter (founder of Unsound America) on synthesizer, Lazer Kitty has created their own sonic wilderness. The group officially came together in December of 2010 and set off to perform whatever felt good and challenging individually and as a collective. Song names and traditional song structures are afterthoughts at best, but the internal engine of the band always reaches for the emotional, the enlightened, and the evocative. For over a year they have performed and recorded numerous concerts and rehearsals. Through these, they accrued some familiar riffs and phrases that have become the backbone for many of the songs on Lazer Kitty's debut studio album, RUINS - a breakthrough recording that immerses the listener into soundscapes never before heard nor imagined. Lazer Kitty continues to pursue their passion for the synergy of sound, the evolution of ideas, and an endless journey into the unknown...

Skates

After the conclusion of The Redwood Plan, Seattle fixture Lesli Wood returns with her latest surf-pop offering, Skates!

Formed practically on a whim, Wood created Skates! within one month of TRP's finale - booking a tour and a debut show even before finalizing the line-up of her latest project. Now joined by TRP members, Larry Brady (bass) and Betty ST (guitar), as well as newcomer, Stormi King (drums), Skates! is an outlet for Wood's care-free pop songs and unforgettable melodies. Influences hint at Husker Du, Talking Heads, and Best Coast. As expected, Skates! live shows are energetic and full of melodic-goodness.

The band's debut album, "Skates! is a Band" will be released March, 2015. The album finds Wood once again working with renowned producer, Martin Feveyear. Barboza will host the band's release show on March 7, 2015.

You will fall in love. Skates! will make you.

Gems

Gems, a Seattle based rock band, lays down deep danceable grooves full of twists and turns underneath a canopy of haunting synthesized mayhem unlike anything you've ever heard. Two drummers, Adrian Van Batenburg and Jacob Evans, provide the foundation of syncopated interweaving rhythms, while two keyboardists, Gary Palmer and Dan Rapport, build melodic and bass heavy songs around it. A unique sonic experience you will not soon forget.
