Ophelia's Books says

Sign up starts at 6:45. As always, we will have a pile of randomly selected poetic works for you to read from also, should the mood strike.

This month we are thrilled to host incredible local poet Ann Tweedy.

"Ann Tweedy’s first full-length collection, The Body’s Alphabet, is forthcoming from Headmistress Press. She is also the author of two chapbooks: Beleaguered Oases (tcCreativePress 2010) and White Out (Green Fuse Press 2013). Her poetry has appeared in Clackamas Literary Review, Rattle, damselfly press, literary mama, and elsewhere. She has been nominated for both a Pushcart Prize and a Best of the Net Award and has been selected as a finalist for numerous book and chapbook awards, including those run by Blue Light Press, New Sins Press, and Seven Kitchens Press.
In addition to writing poetry and essays, Ann is a law professor and a practicing attorney, as well as a bisexual activist. Ann currently serves as in-house counsel for a tribal government."

"Nico Lund uses the complicated nature of human emotion, personal observations of nature, life events and relationships as her inspiration for writing. Writing for her is a meditation on perception.
Originally from Santa Barbara, California, Nico Lund has been inspired by the vivid colors and dramatic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest for 22 years. www.nicolund.com/puddlepoems"
