Elliott Bay Book Company says
Tracy Barone’s debut novel Happy Family (Lee Boudreaux Books) is the story of Cheri Matzner, an academic and former cop forced to come to terms with the family that raised her, the one that gave her up and the one she so desperately wants. Barone will appear in conversation with Seattle’s own Maria Semple, whose new novel, Today Will be Different will be published by Little, Brown in October.

“Tracy Barone’s background is in Hollywood, so it’s no wonder that the story in Happy Family is so artfully crafted...You’ll find a fantastic character, bold language and a gutsy story.”-Elle.
