Valentine’S Day Special: Hawaiian Music And A Succulent Traditional Feast

Advertising

Time Out says

Extend tonight’s enchanting Global Rhythms concert of Hawaiian music and culture by joining us for a romantic pre-concert dinner. Town Hall’s downstairs will be transformed into a lush and intimate setting for an authentic Hawaiian feast prepared by the Kauai Family Restaurant—featuring an appetizer of Ahi poke and Lomi Salmon, followed by buffet options of tender barbecued pork, barbeque beef, Lawai ginger chicken, steamed rice, macaroni salad, and tossed greens. The meal will be topped off with Chantilly cake, beer, and sparkling wine. (A vegetarian main dish of stirfry tofu and vegetables is also available if arranged in advance.) After the meal, head upstairs to the Great Hall and swoon to the traditional, ethereal sounds of Hawaiian mother/transgendered daughter duo of Kekuhi and Kaumakaiwa Kanaka’ole. Space is limited; advance tickets only. Presented by: Town Hall. Doors open: 6:00 pm
