Time Out says

The basements of Korean department stores are considered by Koreans and visitors alike, a food utopia. From raw ingredients like seafood freshly stacked on ice, beautifully marbled Hanwoo or herbs and vegetables with mist pouring over them, to rice cake vendors and patisseries selling ornate desserts, to open wall restaurants offering a wide selection from all over the world, you can easily spend over an hour just deciding what you want. Well, for all those food fanatics out there, COEX is opening Food Week Korea’s 11th edition from November 2nd to the 5th. With 909 companies, 1,539 booths, 31 countries, and 79,520 visitors participated last year, the scale will be nothing compared to the department store basements! Everything within the five fields of ‘Food & Beverages,’ ‘Machinery,’ ‘Kitchen Utensils,’ and ‘Ingredients & Services,” including wines, teas, bakeries, organic foods, traditional Korean foods, pickled and preserved foods, ingredients, sustainable agricultural products, coffee machines, ice-cream machines, packing machines can be found here. There will also be 4 special events; ‘Food Week Tech’ exhibiting hygiene and safety related brand and newly launched food technology, ‘Food Week Bar’ exhibiting beverage and alcohol brands, ‘Seoul Cooking & Dinning Show’ for experience-oriented marketing, and finally ‘Food Week Global’ showcasing international food pavilions. Visit the convention not just to have a taste of all the exciting food, but to learn about the most current trends in the food industry.
