Time Out says

We are excited to announce our next exhibit "INFLUENCED by KEITH HARING"! The show is in celebration of the life of Keith Haring who passed away 25 years ago this month. The show will feature artists influenced by Haring’s work. EXHIBITING ARTISTS: Eric Orr - New York The exhibit will feature a poster by Eric Orr who just celebrated his 30th anniversary of chalk collaborations with Haring in the subways of New York... To this day Eric Orr is one of the only artists to ever collaborate with Keith underground. Dave Ortiz - New York Growing up in Brooklyn during the 1970’s - 80s Dave Ortiz saw Haring's work everywhere, and also knew him from the clubs. During the past year Ortiz has created a new body of work entirely dedicated to the fine line that exists between drawing and painting. A big part of this project is heavily influenced by Haring’s lines. Dave is a staple of NYC street wear culture- one of the original players of the ZooYork brand, he conceived and co-founded the brand Dave's Quality M3AT, Dave's Wear House and ANOTHERWHIP Bike Co. He is about to launch a Vodka brand Our/Vodka ( in collaboration with Absolut) heading the New York chapter of this new brand. (Artist is flying in for opening) Charlie Houska - St. Louis St. Louis’ own pop art diva Charlie Houska is presenting his work - colorful, bold, intense art that commands attention and triggers a smile with the essence and influence of Keith Haring. Peat Wollaeger - New York The artist displays a collaboration with Keith Haring's STOP AIDS signs that he recently collaborated on for “URnewYork” at the fundraiser for the “Lust For Life” Campaign at Urban Outfitters in NYC in February of this year. On site happenings: St Louis based photographer and "Before the Blink dot com" curator, Nate Burrell, will be collaborating with Peat Eyez and doing a unique series of live double exposure portraits for the exhibit's guests. You choose one of two Eyez patterns, Nate will snap your portrait and work his double exposure magic and you can get an original signed print from both artists! Art Farm will also be screen printing t-shirts LIVE - one of each design of the exhibiting artists. Limited Edition EYEZ - 4 Hands Wooden Labels - Only 50 Made! C’babi Bayoc is presenting a sneak peak of his "History Museum Mural" and other great works of art in his Studio here at 2222 S. Jefferson. We are looking forward to see you all on Saturday!
