More About Our Keynote Speaker:

Behind every great recipe is an even better story, especially when it involves chocolate! When Sheila G. Mains for herself laid off from her executive career in 1992, she refused to be just another pink slip horror story. She immediately embarked on her Plan B… Brownies. Armed with a treasured family recipe for fudge brownies, she baked her way to sweet success. Within two years, she had landed her largest customer to date, the Walt Disney Company. When the economy downturned in 2009, Sheila doubled-down and reinvented her brownie empire by creating a new product inspired by crispy, crunchy brownie edges. Brownie Brittle™ launched in 2011, and by years’ end she had 200,000 bags on store shelves and did about $500,000 in sales.

Today, her award-winning, Florida-based business earns more than $38 million annually, and churns out about 3,000 pounds of product an hour. Named one of the fastest growing businesses in Florida, you can find Brownie Brittle products on shelves at Publix, Walmart, Costco and grocery chains in the world. Meanwhile, Disney properties remain the biggest buyer of Mains’ line of traditional brownies. In 2016, she published her first cookbook: Sheila G’s Butter & Chocolate: 101 Creative Sweets and Treats Using Brownie Batter.
