Auditions for CAUGHT IN THE NET by Ray Cooney

Carrollwood Players will hold auditions for CAUGHT IN THE NET by Ray Cooney on Sunday March 13 and Tuesday March 15, 2016 at 7 pm at the theatre.

CALLBACKS Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 7pm

Director James Rayfield will be looking for 4 males and 3 females for the ensemble cast of this comedy farce.

Auditions will be cold readings from selected speeches in the script and a physicality improv. Working class British accents required.

Production Dates are May 13 – 28, 2016.

1 male – 80’s
2 females – 40’s
1 female – 15 years old

The sequel to Run for Your Wife finds bigamist taxi driver John Smith still keeping his two families in different parts of London, both happy and blissfully unaware of each other. However, his teenage children, a girl from one family and a boy from the other, have met on the Internet and are anxious to meet in person. Keeping them apart plunges John into a hell hole of his own making. The situation spirals out of control as John juggles outrageously with the truth.

Gavin – 16 year old teen boy who rides a motorbike
Vicki – 15 year old teenage girl who is a bit naïve
Mary – in her 40’s, a British housewife, domestic and devoted to her family
Barbara – 1 Female – in her 40’s, a British housewife, something of a looker
John Smith – cherry man in his forties, a charmer
Stanley Gardner – man in his forties, “a good soul but not overly bright
Dad – in his eighties and fluctuates between senility, alertness, and cussedness.

Rehearsals will start immediately after casting. No performers paid.
