Tampa Bay History Center says
Dozens of local collectors will display sports memorabilia, antique toys, stereoscopes, antique radios, fossils, soda fountain memorabilia and more.

As part of Collectors Day, archivists from the History Center will be on hand to talk with the public about the dos and don’ts of preserving sensitive documents or family heirlooms.

“Sometimes people can do more harm than good when trying to save family photos or other documents,” said Malerie Dorman, the History Center’s curator of collections. “This is an opportunity to learn some best practices and get one-on-one advice.”

Highlights from the History Center’s map collection will also be on view ‒ with several centuries-old Florida maps on display to the public ‒ along with other unusual artifacts from the History Center’s collection.

Collectors Day is included with regular admission to the History Center, and families can also enjoy children’s activities in the museum atrium.
