Free Community Movie Night: Elf says
Tampa Theatre must have made Santa’s “nice” list this year! We know there’s really only one present our patrons want from their historic community movie palace, and on Wednesday, Dec. 14, the Theatre will share some much-anticipated details about what the elves at 711 Franklin Street have in store for our friends and fans.

Doors will open at 6:00pm for a cookies and cocoa social in the lobby. Come get to know your fellow Tampa Theatre supporters, learn more about our Membership program, pick up great Tampa Theatre gifts for the movie lover on your list, and share a bit of holiday cheer. Then, after the announcement at 7:00pm, everyone is invited to stay for a FREE Community Movie Night screening of the 2003 Will Ferrell Christmas classic, Elf.

When Buddy the oversized elf (Ferrell) learns that he’s actually human, he heads to the Big Apple to find his real father (James Caan). Most of the jaded New Yorkers he encounters, though, aren’t so sure about his North Pole habits and elvish enthusiasm for syrup and singing loud. But with the help of his new friend Jovie (Zooey Deschanel), Buddy finds enough Christmas spirit to make sure the big man in red (Ed Asner) is able to finish his rounds on Christmas Eve. (1h 37m / PG / Comedy)
