Independent Bar's ongoing monthly Bluegrass and Roots music series rolls on with Moonshine Holler !

Moonshine Holler, the husband and wife duet of Paula Bradley and Bill Dillof, captures the essence of American roots music: hillbilly blues, ballads and breakdowns, Carter family classics and jugband stompers, with knock-your-socks-off flatfoot dancing to boot. Known for their musical prowess on more instruments than they can juggle (banjo, fiddle, guitar, Hawaiian guitar, harmonica, ukulele, kazoo), Paula and Bill are two performers steeped in old time traditional music who have performed and taught across the country and abroad. In addition to their concert performances, they also offer special programs: "Rods & Rails: The Railroad in American Song" ; "American Tapestry: Multi-Cultural Influences on Mountain Music"; "Rambling & Regret - Songs of the American Hobo" ; "When I Was a Cowboy - Songs of the American West"; "The Rose Grew Round the Briar - American songs of Love & Courting"; and "Hearth & Home: Sentimental Parlor Songs of the 19th Century".
