In March, rum takes the spotlight at Time Out Market Budapest, in collaboration with PREMIRUM. Throughout the month, guests can explore the world of rum through three special events, each dedicated to one of the three major stylistic traditions: Spanish, French and English. In addition to the tastings, the bar will offer three exclusive rum-based cocktails all month long, each reflecting the character of its respective style.

4 March (Wednesday), 6pm – Rum Tasting – Spanish Rum Style
Rum Month begins with the Spanish rum tradition, presented by Dr. Pipei Csaba in an engaging, educational session. The event focuses on rum-making rooted in Spanish heritage — defined by clean flavours, refinement and elegance. During the presentation, Csaba will share insights into the style’s characteristics and the featured rum selections, while participants will have the opportunity to ask questions. It is the perfect introduction to the world of rum — professionally thorough yet accessible.

18 March (Wednesday), 6pm – Rum Tasting – French Rum Style
The second event highlights the French rum style, presented by Schök Norbert, who passionately represents this tradition with heart and soul. French rums — particularly those from the agricole line — have a truly unique character: terroir-driven, fresh and complex. Norbert guides participants through this special world using stories, personal experiences and professional insights. This event offers a genuine experience for those wishing to gain a deeper understanding of the artistic side of rum.

25 March (Wednesday), 6pm – Rum Tasting – English Rum Style
Rum Month concludes with the English rum style, led by Mádi Norbert. The event explores the character of English rums, their rich history, and the English islands that play a key role in this style. The evening focuses on full-bodied, deep flavours and traditional rum-making, while Norbert enriches the tasting with fascinating backstories and professional insights. It is a fitting finale to Rum Month — distinctive, rewarding, and full of experiences.
