Time Out Market Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront has dropped its new winter menu, and it’s built for comfort-food season. Think rich pastas, fragrant curries, loaded pizzas, fresh linefish and a waffle dessert that serving fluffy joy!

Across the Market’s kitchens, some of the city’s best chefs have designed these dishes for cooler days, longer lunches and those “we’ll just stay for one more” kind of dinners. 

It's never been easier to taste the Mother City, all under one roof in the heart of the city's most popular destinations, the V&A Waterfront. 

New plates to add to your winter foodie crawl!

Created by Origin co-founder Joel Singer, Nøsh Café offers a unique coffee experience, brewing up three of the city’s finest artisan roasters – Origin, Truth and Tribe.

This season, they've added a Winter Style Salad Bowl, proving winter comfort doesn’t always have to mean carbs on carbs. Herbed bulgur wheat meets roasted butternut, beetroot and grilled brinjal, with broccoli, sautéed cumin chickpeas and lentils bringing the substance. Crisp Granny Smith apple, goat’s feta and pomegranate add brightness, while fresh mint and parsley keep the whole thing feeling fresh, not heavy.

Opá! is the new Greek street-food dining concept from Callan Austin, one of South Africa’s most dynamic and award-winning chefs.  

If fish is your winter craving, try their pan-roasted linefish, served with golden-roasted baby potatoes, capers, and tomato. It delivers richness without feeling overly indulgent, while lemon and fresh parsley lift everything to a bright, clean finish.

Founded by hospitality brothers Gavin and Sean Binder, and Ricky Simon from Three Wise Monkeys, Una Mas is inspired by authentic Mexican street food.  

This winter, they're bringing comfort-food drama with Enchiladas Suizas. These corn tortillas are filled with your choice of chicken or black beans for the vegetarian option - baked in a salsa verde and topped with bubbling golden au gratin cheese and fresh coriander. Messy, cheesy and exactly what the season's ordered.

The Yard's Eugene Smith brings his inimitable approach to pizza to Time Out Market Cape Town. 

New winter toppings include Salami Tartufo, an Italian tomato base layered with mushrooms and mozzarella, then ricotta and Parmesan white sauce, topped with wild rocket and truffle salami. Finished with cracked black pepper and aromatic herbs, it’s rich, indulgent and built for unhurried winter dinners.

Giorgio Nava is a household name in the Mother City, as beloved for his mellifluous Italian accent as his deft hand in the kitchen.   

Carne brings the ultimate winter carb moment with its Chicken Alfredo. Enjoy Penne pasta folded through a silky butter cream sauce with Grana Padano and cracked black pepper, served with tender free-range chicken. It’s simple and totally moreish!

Chef Hitesh Panchal founded the family-run Kapoochka, serving a contemporary take on Indian street food, with a creative focus on more-ish pani puri.

This winter, they're turning up the heat with a Goan Prawn Curry. Succulent king prawns are simmered in a fragrant saffron and coconut curry that’s rich, warming and deeply spiced.
